In my travels I’ve met the same person a dozen times, in a dozen different bodies with a dozen different names.
I’ve met broken children living in adult bodies.
I’ve met children with depths of wisdom beyond their years.
I’ve met seniors with the same spirit as a child, full of joy and wonder.
I’ve met individuals with very little, that have wealthier lives than those with millions.
I’ve met individuals that are so free, that their existence either terrifies – or inspires others to live according to their own nature, and simply be themselves.
These types of individuals are the rarest in my opinion – they will not only inspire, they will make you question your very own reality and human existence. You may even find yourself examining your beliefs and how you define things like God, freedom, and wealth to name a few.
These individuals won’t try to convince you to become like them – they will simply serve as a very bright light on your own personal journey.
I have been introduced to destructive types, many times over – until I learned the reason why they were placed into my story.
Each one’s been a teacher to me – a mirror if you will, showing me within myself things I’ve never examined.
Its easy to judge those that are different from ourselves, but once you make the shift from judge to observer to seeker – you’ll understand that every person who enters our lives carries a lesson, and often that lesson is a reflection of something waiting to be seen within ourselves.
It certainly doesn’t mean every individual we meet deserves a seat at our table, but they deserve a chance to be understood – and wished well with grace.
Mind your teachers, I believe we are all students in this life.
Take care
